- Approximately 125,000 acres of canola production will be required
- Crushing plant will process approximately 100,000 tons (4 million bushels of canola seed per year)
- Expeller pressed oil extraction (non-hexane) technology will be employed
- Produced canola oil will be Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized (RBD) as a high quality food grade product
- Planned production of 10 million gallons of canola oil per year
- Canola will be sourced primarily from northeast North Dakota production
- Facility will utilize both truck and rail for inbound and outbound logistics
- Should economics dictate, some raw canola oil may be diverted to biodiesel production
